A Happy New Year?

I was watching a fellow New Year's Eve being interviewed saying that he was more charged up this year than in past years.  They asked him why?  He responded, "because its 2011, baby!"  I thought, OKAY... what does that really mean?  Is there some magic happiness that we should expect to appear overnight because it is a new year?

Please don't misunderstand.  I pray that we all have a better year this year than in 2010.  Lord, you know that we need your deliverance in the land... that great evil has fallen upon the world the past few years and became obvious in 2010.  We need help.  We need a "better year".  Only a move of God will bring a Happy New Year.

I wish you all a happy new year, but I think that unless people start rending their hearts over their sin and repenting... turning back to God, that things will continue in their downward spiral toward judgment.  I honestly prefer grace over judgment any day, but people (even God's people in the church) act like that they can go and break God's commandments on and on without any penalty ever coming.  Be not deceived, God is NOT mocked.  Whatsoever we sow, we shall reap. 

 

2011 does not need more politics (I think we got an overdose of that in 2010 and we will be paying for that for another generation).  That isn't the real need.  2011 needs a REAL REVIVAL IN THE LAND.  So many have turned from God and it seems that much are falling headlong into that Last Days Apostasy that the Bible warned us against.  People have forgotten the warnings.  People are playing games with their own souls.

People talk about 2012 like it is the end of the world because of the Mayan Calendar.  The unusual things occurring with the Earth's Magnetic Field along with the mysterious deaths of birds and fish all over the southern USA and now South America has gotten people spooked.  But that is only a slight hint of what is coming.  It is going to be getting very intense and it does not have to wait until 2012 to come.  People are scared of 2012, and FOLKS... it might very well be a part of what is described in the book of Revelation as a part of the Tribulation.  It could be (I'm not predicting that it is though)... the solar activity... the signs in the heavens and earth.  

But understand that it has nothing to do with a Mayan Calendar ending, and everything to do with the condition of men's hearts and what God promised would come at the end of this age.  

WE NEED TO REPENT NOW!   

1 Thessalonians 5 tells us that we would know the season of the end of this age, and well, we are there!  We can see the season change and we are there in that season.

So, I invite you to join me in prayer and fasting for this coming year.  Pray for revival in the land and revival in our churches and revival in our homes before it is too late to even pray.  Let us Pray for the love, joy, and peace of God (the fruit of the Spirit) to revisit our lives again and for God to heal our land.  WE CAN HAVE REVIVAL DESPITE WHAT IS COMING ON THE LAND.  

We can have a move of God despite the probable disasters that are on the edge of coming (has anyone noticed FEMA's interest in the New Madrid Fault area lately?).  Look... instead of getting frightened at what's coming, let us instead look unto Jesus Christ and look up!  There is hope!  In this world where the love of many is growing cold, we can still have love and hope and power to overcome in this hour!

2 Chronicles 7:14 " If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. "
